Sigh. Dofollow Blogs Rules

Ah. Dofollow blogs have been a popular tool for optimisation and link building. Often, some blogs will allow anybody to post, leaving little or no value in their comment and keyword spamming.

That’s not why SEO Marketing Desk from North Star Marketing is a Dofollow blog. SEO Marketing Desk is a blog about marketing, SEO, business development, advertising, business news and general support for small to medium entreprises.

I’ll re-emphasis that if you complete a post on our blog which does not meet the guidelines it will be deleted – wasting your time and potentially getting yourself blocked.

Simple to understand, simple to follow?

  1. Your comments must be on topic
  2. Your comment must contribute to the post
  3. Your name and comments should not be keyword stuffed
  4. Posts solely contributing “Thanks for this” type responses will be automatically removed
  5. Really poor grammar and spelling will be removed

Posting do-follow rules is effective. There are those who just type in Thank yous for comments without really reading the post. This is a good reminder to those who are working on Do-follow blogs.

    Hi Kate,

Got to have rules unfortunately. It’s incredible how much spam we get (and still get despite the rules!)
